Basin sinks are the type of sink that is most commonly found in a modern household bathroom. They are typically made of a ceramic material with highly polished finish making them durable and easy to clean, however glass basins are becoming increasingly popular. Other types of sink will be typically found in the traditional household kitchen, these are unlikely to be basin sinks as they are used for washing kitchenware, such as pots, pans and dishes which need more space.
